Emerging swimwear label Alexandra Miro to enter Selfridges

Luxury swim and resortwear label Alexandra Miro will launch into Selfridges next month, bringing its latest collection to the retailer’s flagship store on Oxford Street.

The brand’s complete SS18 range, featuring high-fashion, sculpting swimwear, will be stocked at the Body Studio, located on the department store’s third floor.

The news follows Alexandra Miro’s launch into Harvey Nichols earlier this year.

The SS18 collection comprises of one-piece swimsuits and two-piece bikini styles, presented in navy, black, white and red.

Highlights include the best-selling Tatiana one-piece available in navy/white and red/white contrast colourways for SS18.

This style features a sweeping one-shoulder design, asymmetrical cut-out detail at the waist and a contrasting belt.

Within the range, there are styles to suit poolside lounging, or for the more active travellers, styles including the Lara and Kate swimsuits offer an athletic vibe, with all-over coverage, supportive strap details and glamorous contouring neckline shapes.

Designer Alexandra Miro created her eponymous line last year. Drawing on her experience as a lingerie e-tailer and fervour for travel, she honed her skills to create a brand that reflects her love of design, exploration, architecture and admiration for the female form in its many guises.

Produced using luxury fabrics and components sourced in Italy, the final product is manufactured in a small family-run factory in Portugal.

“My main goal with each piece is to showcase the female form in its absolute best light.  This is surely the benchmark of all great swimwear design,” Miro said.

“I fit and trial each individual garment on myself to ensure that it not only looks good on the hanger, but also flatters, enhances and feels great against the skin.”
