Embrace Design Innovations Ltd. has been announced as a finalist in the Product category of the Irish Times InterTrade Ireland Innovation Awards 2012.
Embrace has been nominated for its Internal Support System (ISS), an inner stabilising structure which has been designed to anchor the bra and maintain its fit in movement.
Dealing with both the circumference and volume of the breast, the inner structure sits directly under the breast to eliminate the drag or pull of a garment in movement, stabilise the garment on the body and act as a floating support of the breast weight.
Embrace director Reenagh McCall said: “We are delighted to be recognised for our innovation. We work hard to find solutions for women’s comfort and well being and to come up with new products for the marketplace without compromising style.
“This product has revolutionary features which help breasts to help themselves. It works in basics, shape wear, lingerie, sport, swim and junior lines. It promotes breast health, facilitates garment versatility and allows freedom of movement.”
She added: “Developed by Embrace, the product has global appeal and endless applications, some of which we will be bringing to market in our S/S13 range.”
