After months of anticipation, Lingerie Insight is delighted to reveal the brands and retailers that have been crowned the 2015 UK Lingerie Award winners across 20 prestigious categories, including Lingerie Brand of the Year and Independent Retailer of the Year.
Close to 200 firms entered the 2015 UK Lingerie Awards – a record number of entries for the annual competition, which is now into its sixth year. Once again, the standard of entries was incredibly high and while this made judging a tough task, it ultimately serves to reinforce the appetite for growth and innovative design in the UK lingerie sector at present.
Seventeen of the awards were judged by two separate panels of leading intimate apparel experts. One panel, comprised of retailers, buyers and trend forecasters, met in Central London at the end of last year to assess the brand categories and choose their winners.
The second panel, made up of brands and agents, judged the four retail categories, including Department Store of the Year, Multiple Retailer of the Year, Independent Retailer of the Year and Digital Retailer of the Year.
Those of you that have received your bumper January issue of Lingerie Insight will no doubt have already seen our extensive coverage of the UK Lingerie Awards 2015 winners, but over the coming days we will be publishing all of the details online as well as we celebrate the stars of the past 12 months.
In addition to dedicated stories on each of the winning companies, including the factors that shaped their success, we’ll be featuring interviews with all of this year’s judges as they reflect on some of the trends and highlights that stood out for them during the judging process.
Meanwhile, the public had their say on the winners of the final three gongs; The UK’s Favourite Lingerie Brand; The UK’s Favourite Retailer; and The UK’s Favourite British Lingerie Designer. We had thousands of votes as the public rushed to back the lingerie companies that rate most highly. The winners of these awards will be unveiled on LingerieInsight.com over the coming days.
While there can only be one winner in each category, the hard work of all the finalists over the last year deserves huge applause.
In such a strong and competitive industry, it is truly satisfying to see so many businesses striving to become the best in their field through quality design, powerful marketing campaigns and excellent customer service.
