DMU students’ work hits London catwalk

22 students from the contour fashion course at the Leicester-based university have been invited to show their lingerie work in London to celebrate the course’s 70th anniversary.

De Montfort University is home to the oldest contour fashion course in the world which was established in 1947 to train workers for the burgeoning corset industry in the surrounding area.

The show will display the students’ work to VIPS from the world of fashion at Grand Temple in Freemasons’ Hall, Covent Garden on Thursday.
