An undergraduate from De Montfort University’s Contour Fashion course has secured a two-year post at ethical underwear business Who Made Your Pants?
Hannah Crawford will visit the Southampton factory every three months to deliver technical training to workers whilst studying for her degree.
She will also support the introduction of her own designs into the production line.
Who Made Your Pants? founder Becky John commented: “We are delighted to have found Hannah and are looking forward to working with her over the next two years.
“From the very first email Hannah sent applying for our summer work placement, we knew she’d fit right in. She’d taken the time to research us before contacting us and instinctively understood small business needs. Her teaching experience and inherent work ethic have helped her to turn her hand to whatever was needed from day one.
Hannah Crawford said: “This has been a real boost to my confidence as a designer and I’m really enjoying having the opportunity to teach other women. It hasn’t sunk in yet though – it doesn’t feel real.”
