Debenhams has taken stock of boudoir lingerie brand, Scantilly by Curvy Kate.
The department store joins House of Fraser and Figleaves in carrying the label’s AW16 collection, which combines decadent black satin with strapping details, sheer mesh and cut outs with pops of chartreuse and indigo.
Scantilly has seen huge success since launching in 2015, after Curvy Kate saw a gap in the market for fuller-bust boudoir lingerie.
The first month of the AW16 season saw a sales increase of 18% on the first month of AW15. The brand is now available in 54 accounts worldwide, an increase of 46% on last year.
National account manager Sally Courtney said: “We are delighted that Debenhams have selected Scantilly by Curvy Kate for AW16. After more than three years successfully selling the Curvy Kate brand instore and online, we are positive that the Debenhams customer will relish having the opportunity to explore her racy side now that she can buy the Scantilly range from her favourite UK retailer.”
Scantilly recently made headlines for its all-inclusive, diversity campaign, #TheNewSexy.
The campaign, which included an amputee, a woman with alopecia sufferer, a recovering anorexic and a transgender woman, amongst others, was designed to empower women and redefine how society views the word ‘sexy’.
