Curvy Kate has been crowned the winner of the Womenswear Brand of the Year at the Drapers Awards 2014.
The large-cup lingerie brand beat off rivals Adini, Almost Famous, Fantasie and Seasalt to pick up the prestigious gong on Thursday evening.
Curvy Kate managing director Steve Hudson said: “We were surprised but absolutely delighted to win this award. We have such a passionate and hardworking team and it has been a particularly frantic year at Curvy Kate. The Drapers award is fantastic recognition for everyone’s great work and a real boost for the team.”
The Drapers Awards also recognised a number of lingerie retailers at this year’s ceremony, which was held at the Old Billingsgate in London.
Marks & Spencer picked up the people’s choice Fashion Retailer of the Year award, while John Lewis walked away with the Department Store of the Year gong.
But Primark was the most successful winner at the 2014 event, picking up the International Fashion Retailer of the Year award and the Best Store Design award for its store in Alexanderplatz, Berlin.
