Curvy Kate unveils Star in a Bra Top 10

The ‘Bra Stars’ are calling on the public to vote on their curves, in the final of the annual Star in a Bra search.

The ten contestants have beaten over 1000 other hopefuls in the fight to win an international modelling contract with D to K cup brand, Curvy Kate.

Through the competition, Curvy Kate aim to show a ‘true representation’ of the UK female figure and portray how a bra fits and looks on a bigger bust.

With British busts doubling in size over the last 40 years and sales of D to G cups rising by 50 percent year-on-year since 2005, the brand claims more women than ever are wearing fuller cup lingerie ranges.

Curvy Kate PR and marketing manager Hannah Houston said: “We truly believe that our customers should model our lingerie as these are the girls who will be buying it. Our model search isn’t just a one off – it’s here to stay to prove how gorgeous the shapely figure looks in lingerie – wobbles, bumps and all. It’s not up to us to choose the next Curvy Kate – we want our fans to tell us the girl they want to see modelling the lingerie they’ll be wearing.”

The model search has reportedly received overwhelming support from the public, with over 9000 votes for the bra stars recorded in two weeks.

Top 10 finalist Alice Rose Rayman said: “For years, I was self-conscious and very aware of my natural 32K boobs. I felt I could never wear gorgeous and sexy lingerie like my smaller cupped friends. But, then I found Curvy Kate – so I decided to enter Star in a Bra to show my friends, family and other girls that I am proud of what I’ve got – so why not show it off. I’m doing it for us curvy girls!”

The Top 10 girls have all taken part in a professional shoot and make over in London. The photoshoot images are now live on Facebook and the public will have one vote to choose their favourite girl to be crowned ‘queen of the curves’.

Curvy Kate offers lingerie and swimwear in D – K cups and is now available in over 500 stores worldwide including Debenhams, Figleaves, Very.co.uk, Simply Yours and New Look.
