Fuller-bust lingerie and swimwear brand Curvy Kate has recorded double digit growth in its sixth year of trading, seeing a 19% uplift in turnover in the first half of 2016.

This figure bolsters the results of 2014 and 2015, which also saw an increase of 11% and 41% consecutively.

Pivotal to the success has been a focus on providing a professional customer service, timely deliveries, stock availability and a diverse range of products made to fulfil the needs of the plus bust woman, Curvy Kate said today in a statement.

Notably, the Luxe strapless bra and the Essentials range, including stretch cup Ellace, have been outstanding success stories for the brand’s retailers, with sales tripling for many over the last quarter.

This dramatic growth has seen staff numbers increase, from 19 at the end of 2014 to 24 by the end of December 2015.

To date, the number stands at 28 and Curvy Kate is recruiting for a further two positions, both newly created roles.

Rachel Jenkins, head of Sales said: “We have matured as a business, through our systems, our products, our distribution and our staff but the focus and the core values have remained constant: ‘wow the customer, always be better and work as a team’. These are delivered by each person in the business and have been fundamental to our success. We intend to grow further and now have a firm foundation to do this.”

“2016 has seen us encouraging retailers to put Curvy Kate to the test as we are confident that the services delivered by us will provide a solid partnership. Our services include an online ordering system, 2-3 day delivery, a reliable continuity programme and a business that is large enough to deliver our promises but small enough to listen and care,” she added.
