Curvy Kate launches swimwear design competition

Curvy Kate has launched a new Facebook app which allows consumers to create their own swimwear design for a chance of winning items from the brand’s SS14 collection.

The design tool, created by social media agency mycleveragency, allows Curvy Kate ‘fans’ to choose their favourite swimwear top and brief combination to which they can add patterns, colours and designs.

Fans then upload their designs and vote for their favourite beach wear set. The designer with the most votes will win sets from Curvy Kate’s swimwear range.

Curvy Kate marketing manager Hannah Houston: “We first came up with this concept as we wanted something fun, interactive and viral that our fans could take part in. First and foremost the application puts our fans in the driving seat and was designed as a fun competition to get people talking and thinking about what they would want if they could have any piece of swimwear.”

“It’s great to give our fans the chance to be involved in design and creativity and we’ll also be able to track popular pieces, colours and designs. Our community is continuing to grow and we want to continue to find out exactly what our customer needs,” added Houston.

The app was launched on August 15 and the competition will run over two weeks.
