Curvy Kate buoyed by response to boudoir line

Curvy Kate is expecting big things of its new Scantilly range after officially launching it to consumers online this week.

The range is now being sold with retailers such as Asos, Figleaves, Very and Simply Yours, with the brand hailing the initial response to the collection as “amazing” and revealing it has already sold out of Surrender basques.

As reported by Lingerie Insight yesterday, the brand has also teamed up with romance fiction publisher Mills & Boon to launch a competition as part of the launch campaign.

Scantilly marks Curvy Kate’s entrance into the boudoir lingerie market and is designed for women with DD to HH cup sizes and a 28 to 38inch back size.

The 27-piece range, which is priced from £18 to £70, comprises of six indulgent collections including peep-hole briefs, sexy suspenders, half cup balcony bras and sheer basques.

Charlotte Davies, head designer at Scantilly by Curvy Kate, said: “The Scantilly design team scour the world for inspiration yet at the heart of each piece is the female silhouette; the curves of the wearer are truly crucial and the inspiration throughout the entire design process.”

Hannah Isichei, brand manager at Scantilly by Curvy Kate said that while there many boudoir options for smaller cupped women, choices for the fuller bust in this category remain limited.

“We wanted to offer women something to feel powerful and playful in, which will also hold and support their stunning figure whatever their shape. It’s our aim as a brand that celebrates women and their curves, to make sure all women feel confident and sexy. We want women to look in the mirror, embrace their bodies and be empowered.”
