Courtaulds has appointed Elise Recour as the new general manager of two of its most prolific brands, Gossard and Berlei.
Recour joined Courtaulds in 2006 and has worked at the company’s offices around the world including Paris, China and London.
She will assume her new role with immediate effect and is due to spearhead several new campaigns and commercial ventures in the coming months.
Commenting on the announcement, she said: "Both brands are national institutions and each provide unparalleled opportunities to facilitate further growth throughout the UK and beyond, which is a very exciting proposition both for the company and me personally.
"I have been part of Courtaulds for many years now working on marketing, sales and product developments and am very fortunate to have a fantastic team already in place who are not only immensely passionate about the brands, but also share the vision for the future."
Recour steps into the role following the retirement of Tony Jarvis who departed at the end of March.
Courtaulds CEO Steve Llwellyn said: "This is a very exciting time for the Group and we are confident Elise is the perfect woman for the job to take these key brands forward into the next chapter. Having spent years at the forefront of bra design, innovation and technology, Elise has a broad and immense knowledge of both our company and our sector and we look forward to announcing further plans soon."
