Victoria’s Secret could soon discontinue its swimwear lines, new reports suggest.

Notes from Citigroup analysts reveal that the company will be “eliminating swim from stores and online”, and Buzzfeed said that two anonymous sources confirmed that swimwear will be axed before the end of 2016.

The news comes after Victoria’s Secret parent company L Brands announced earlier this month that it will cut “certain merchandising categories” and 200 jobs as part of a major brand restructure.

Going forward, Victoria’s Secret will be organised into three business units: Victoria’s Secret Lingerie, PINK and Victoria’s Secret Beauty – in a move to focus the business on its strongest categories and streamline operations.

L Brands has yet to confirm the reports that it will eliminate swimwear.

Victoria’s Secret has promoted its swimwear in recent months, airing its 2016 Swim Special catwalk show on CBS on March 9.

The glamorous show was shot on the island of St. Barth in the French West Indies and featured musical performances from Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas.
