Jacy’s Exclusive Lingerie is to re-open a year after it was destroyed by flooding.
The store will re-launch at its Market Place premises, having previously re-located to the reception area of Wensley Mackay Pension Trustees and then to a former photographic studio on Cocker Bridge.
Store owner Jan Mansergh told News & Star: “A few months ago, I couldn’t have planned a reopening on November 19 if I’d tried, but it suddenly became very important that I was back in my shop before the anniversary of the floods had passed.
“It’s been a horrendous year and an experience I never, ever, want to repeat. It’s just so good to be back. Moving premises twice in a year has been really hard, but it was fantastic to see how other traders rallied round to help those who were forced out by the floods. Being flooded out was terrible, but I now hope the whole town can look forward to a bigger and brighter future.Thank you to all my customers, new and old, who have supported us through these difficult times.”
