Charnos and Lepel celebrate successful AIS show

Charnos and Lepel lingerie brands are celebrating the best sales performance in four seasons at the Associated Independents Stores (AIS) trade show, which took place in Solihull earlier this month.

The two labels, owned by LF Intimates recorded a 37% increase in sales over the three-day event, where they showcased their SS14 collections.

The strong performance heralds the return of Peter Cronin as sales director for the brands.

Cronin managed Charnos and Lepel from 1994 and 2006 before moving to larger-cup brand Panache. He started back at LF Intimates on September 16.

Cronin commented on the busy AIS show: “AIS member stores are at the centre of both brands’ development. The Charnos brand has shown a massive leap in distribution within AIS with almost double the number of orders taken in comparison to last season’s show; our Rosalind collection in particular has proved a runaway success since its launch last February and we have similarly high expectations for our recently launched Sienna collection.”

“As for Lepel, the Fiore collection just continues to go from strength to strength and remains a firm favourite. I believe we were the busiest stand at the show as you will see from the pictures,” he added.

Chris Hancock, coowner of Warrington independents store Hancock and Wood said: ”Two excellent brands for us, Charnos in particular is showing double digit growth for the 3rd successive year. Our team were delighted with the new styling and colourways for Spring ’14 and these factors , combined with top notch customer services should ensure continued success ”

More than 60 brands appeared at the AIS show, which rebranded as the Indx Intimate Apparel trade show last season.
