Cash for hashtags as Curvy Kate gets charitable

Curvy Kate is showing its charitable side this month by promising to donate 25p to a leading cancer awareness charity for every #BraHijack label posted to Instagram or Twitter during October.

The brand hopes to raise awareness of the #BraHijack sew-in labels and raise money for CoppaFeel!, which campaigns to stamp out the late detection of breast cancer.

Curvy Kate, along with, were the first brands to be involved in the CoppaFeel! Campaign when it was initially launched two years ago.

BraHijack sets out to educate people on the importance of checking their breasts regularly and knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. The tags are designed as helpful reminders to the wearer to ‘get to know their boobs’.

CoppaFeel! Founder, Kris Hallenga, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, said: “There is no right or wrong way to check your breasts. It’s simply about getting to know what they look and feel like normally, and having the confidence to see a doctor if things aren’t quite right.”

To qualify fans will need to take a photo of their #BraHijack label, tweet or post it and tag in @CoppaFeelpeople and @Curvy Kate plus use the #BraHijack tag.
