Business is booming at Ted Baker

Shares in Ted Baker, the high street men’s and women’s retail chain, have reached a record high of £17 million, rising 63 percent over the last year thanks international expansion.

In the 20 weeks to June 15th, Ted Baker experienced a 32.7 percent increase in sales compared to the same period in 2012. Both wholesale and retail business contributed to the surging figures, and new stores in France, Japan, Kuwait, China and other international locales also boosted profits.

Speaking with the Guardian, founder and chief executive Ray Kelvin stated that the company is “continuing to invest in developing the Ted Baker brand internationally and have been encouraged by the reaction to the brand and the collections in our new markets.”
