British swimwear designer creates debut collection

Startup British swimwear brand FRNX has unveiled its debut collection for spring/summer 2013.

The company’s founder, Frankie Goulden, created the company after graduating from the De Montfort University Contour Fashion degree course and honing her skills at luxury design house Fleur of England as head of production management.

FRNX’s first collection is entitled Play and Rewind – a reference to the memories of holidays by the pool.

The luxury collection, which will be the spearhead for the new “Proud to be British” brand, according to Goulden, uses bold colours in designs that aim to become timeless classics.

Designs include the retro-inspired bandeau, halter neck, triangle, and bow embellished bikini in a pink whipped cream and polka dot. “These styles are then excitingly re-awakened with a playful pop of colour and an electrifying fish scale print, with the addition of the triangle swimsuit the stunningly distinctive collection of Play and Rewind has arrived,” says Goulden.

The company is already in discussion with key retailers that it hopes will stock the British brand next year.
