Britain's Standard Drawers wins tour of Latvia

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) has announced the winner of its VIP competition launched in collaboration with Lingerie Insight last month.

Jenette Coduto, founder of British underwear brand Standard Drawers, has won a trip to Latvia and a tour of its leading lingerie brands.

The London-based designer, who designs luxury teddies, beat off several industry hopefuls to claim the prize, according to Guntis Rub?ns, head of LIAA in the UK.

“Our proposed trip to explore Latvia’s lingerie industry have been met with a great enthusiasm by industry professionals across the UK and from other countries, the readers of Lingerie Insight,” he said.

“I am confident that Jenette Coduto, the winner of the trip, and others will find it inspirational and it will encourage them to embark on a new co-operation with yet undisclosed counterparts in Latvia."

Commenting on her win, Coduto said: "We are excited to have won the trip to Latvia and get a personal tour of Riga. At Standard Drawers we pride ourselves on sourcing and manufacturing locally. All our materials and manufacturing are sourced within the EU.

“We visit all our manufactures in person to meet the staff, develop relationships, and observe the quality of workmanship. This trip will be a great chance to meet new manufactures and build a relationship for the future."

The business trip will take place on May 13-15.
