Multiple lingerie retailer Bravissimo has been named in this year’s Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list.
The firm achieved 24th place and was the only lingerie retailer to make the prestigious list.
Set up by Sarah Tremellen in 1995 following her struggle to find attractive bras in bigger sizes, Bravissimo started life in her living room as a mail-order operation.
Now, the company, which is headquartered in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, has 28 stores, a workforce of 670 and sells lingerie, swimwear, nightwear and a clothing line under the Pepperberry label.
In its write-up about Bravissimo, The Sunday Times said the retailer’s staff members are happy with their pay and benefits, which include discounts, an employee-assistance programme, a uniform allowance and birthday and Christmas presents.
“Bravissimo also makes it into our top 10 nationally for the wellbeing that staff feel, with employees praising the stress-free environment. Few people are under too much pressure to perform well (74%, in seventh place on our list) and their health doesn’t suffer because of their professional commitments (82%, a top-10 ranking),” the newspaper said.
