Award-winning maternity lingerie brand, Bravado Designs, has appointed a new head of design.

Tara Hoth joins the company from Canadian fashion boutique Aritzia, where she was the director for technical development, and brings nearly 14 years’ of design experience, having previously worked for Abercrombie & Fitch and Foxy Originals.

Commenting on what attracted her to Bravado Designs, Hoth said: “I was intrigued that a nursing bra which just has to be so functional, and practical, could be beautiful too.

“Bravado Designs is all about design that offers the upmost comfort and confidence for pregnant and breastfeeding mums.”

Global business development manager Hinh Luu commented: “We were thrilled to welcome Tara Hoth on board as our new Head Designer here at Bravado Designs. Combining comfort, style and functionality is so important to us and to have a designer that not only understands this but runs with it from the start is just fantastic.”

The design process of a Bravado Designs nursing bra is no easy task, from developing inspiration boards, travelling to show rooms to select fabrics and threads, through to meetings with technical designers to solve any challenges and finally creating a finished prototype.

“There is a lot to consider when creating a nursing bra and we are confident Tara will work beautifully with mums to develop fashionable, practical and long-lasting designs for pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond,” Luu added.

Bravado Designs was voted the Best Maternity Lingerie Brand by the readers of Loved by Parents earlier this month.
