Meet the Manufacturer, the British sourcing event, is seeking manufacturers and designers to take part in a new Dragon’s Den-style competition this year.
Enterprising brands who are innovators in technology and design, product development and sustainability are invited to submit their ideas ahead of the two-day conference and trade show, which will take place on May 25-26 at The Old Truman Brewery, London.
Those with the most promising concepts will be selected to attend the conference to pitch their idea to a panel of experts and benefit from their knowledge and advice to take their business to the next level.
Kate Hills, CEO and founder of Make it British, the organiser behind the event, explained: “If the next Industrial Revolution is upon us, then it is quite pertinent that the opening sequence of the original series of Dragon’s Den was filmed by Manchester’s famous cotton mills, the inspiration being that it was an area transformed by the first Industrial Revolution.
“Since innovation is the key theme for our event this year, we’re taking our inspiration from the Dragon’s Den series to give manufacturers and designers the opportunity to pitch their creative and pioneering concepts to a panel of experts to gain the recognition and mentoring to enable them to transform their business.”
Now in its third year, Meet the Manufacturer promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with double the amount of space at 50,000ft2, compared to last year, to accommodate more stands in the exhibition and more workshops and seminars than in previous years.
