Brands and buyers gear up for Las Vegas exhibition

CURVEXPO will travel to the west coast of America next week for the first edition of CURVENV@MAGIC.

The new show will debut in the Las Vegas Convention Center on August 17-19. It represents the merger and expansion of CURVEXPO’s and MAGIC’s previously separate Las Vegas shows for the swimwear and lingerie markets.

Brands will have the opportunity to meet with their core swimwear and intimate apparel retailers, as well as a new category of ready-to-wear, hotel/resort and spa buyers.

Exhibiting brands include Mimi Holliday, Panache, Raine & Bea, Anita, Affinitas Intimates, Freya, Chantelle, Sonata Rapalyte, Splendid Intimates, L*Space, Maaji, Ale by Alessandra, PILYQ and Miraclesuit, to name a few.

The show follows a successful lingerie and swimwear exhibition in New York last week.

Organisers said that the number of buyers (2,700) visiting the Javits Centre North remained stable from August 2014 session and the retailers who attended the show were all of qualitative standing.

The CURVEXPO team generated more than 250 connections between brands and retailers on site and more than 800 were created through the CURVEXPO website.

Attendees included representatives from department stores such Bloomingdales, Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as online retailers from Asos UK, and Amazon.

The specialty store presence was marked by New York-based Journelle, Bits of Lace from South Carolina and Glamour House from California, to name a few.
