Bluebella has announced the appointment of a new wholesale manager.
Joanne Bolton has joined the British lingerie brand from Gossard and Berlei, where she was in charge of department store and international sales for nine years.
In her new role, she will drive Bluebella’s programme of expansion in America.
Commenting on her appointment, Bolton said: “This was an offer I could not refuse. Bluebella is such an exciting brand and I think it has got its product and pricing absolutely spot on.
“We are in a great position to really drive sales forward in the States and right across Europe,” she added.
“We have two fantastic agents on the East and West coasts and there is an exciting new PR plan for North America kicking off.
“Buyers are so receptive to products of this quality at a price point which is neither too expensive nor too cheap but just right.”
Last year, Bluebella raised £1 million through the equity funding website Crowdcube to fund the international expansion and improve marketing in the UK.
CEO Emily Bendell said: “We are thrilled that Jo has joined us. She has a fantastic reputation in the industry and will introduce our brand to millions of new customers across all markets but with a particular focus on the States.”
