Beach accessories brand Bikini Beadz will be launching at Moda, this February 19 to 24.
Bikini Beadz designs and produces niche handmade waist bead sets, which are positioned as a swimwear/beachwear add-on for generating additional retailer revenue from core beach/holiday wear purchases.
The new label, which claims to celebrates the female form, will be exhibiting two lines at the show, the SPS Jade Collection and the GLS Tribal Collection.
The brand offers a wide range of handmade waist bead sets, with designs and finishes that can be tailored to suit a myriad of buyers and budgets. It uses glass beads for its starter level GLS Tribal Collection, upgrading to crystals and semi-precious stones for its mid-high end SPS Jade Collection.
Designs are inspired by waist beads, which have been worn for centuries in Ancient Egyptian and African cultures.
Bikini Beadz TM teamed up with agency, Model Students to provide modelling, brand and marketing support to its current campaign.
Bikini Beadz founder Amma Akotos said: “This approach allows us to build our brand, while helping undergraduate students in the field of fashion gain the priceless experience they need to help improve their chances of gaining full-time employment after graduation.”
Students founder Anna Gray added: “All of our models were selected not just for their looks but their unique and individual personalities. Our models are bright, confident and great communicators and we are really excited to be working with an original and edgy brand like Bikini Beadz TM.”
