The owner of Belle Lingerie was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business Awards 2017 over the weekend.
Janine Dutton, who established Belle Lingerie in 2005, picked up the award at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on Saturday.
The announcement comes just four months after Dutton was crowned Business Woman of the Year at the Bradford Means Business Awards 2017.
Dutton was working part time whilst looking after her three young children when she established Belle Lingerie 12 years ago.
She started selling items on eBay to generate some extra income and quickly realised that there was very little lingerie and swimwear available on the site.
In a short space of time the business has grown to new heights and is continuing to do so.
Belle Lingerie has experienced huge growth in the last financial year, turning over £4m and expanding its warehouse unit by 3,000ft2.
Speaking after her latest award win, Dutton said: “I am incredibly proud of this win, to be honoured as Entrepreneur of the Year is a huge achievement. Starting out I didn’t realise how big my company would grow and it is a great feeling to see how far we’ve come.”
