Beautiful Bottoms rebrands as ASCENO

Beautiful Bottoms will undergo a rebranding this season, its founders have announced.

The luxury swimwear, beachwear, loungewear and lingerie label will be renamed as ASCENO from this season onwards.

Creative directors Poppy Sexton-Wainwright and Lauren Skerritt said the new name – a combination of their mothers’ maiden names – is better suited to the brand’s range of garments, which have "matured" since the brand’s inception five years ago.

“The name, we feel, is more in keeping with the vibrant feminine energy and sophisticated essence of our collections. ASCENO, is a combination of our mothers’ maiden names, and for us, evokes thoughts of the sea, travel, femininity, and strength – all key attributes of the brand,” said Skerritt.

For SS15‚ the designers were inspired by the urban landscape and have created a collection that features digital prints, from abstract skyscrapers to kaleidoscopic florals.

The range comes in a plush palette of rose, sky blue and mint green paired with vibrant orange, turquoise and lime.

To ensure customers understand the re-brand and to prevent losing the existing customer base, all branding will read ‘ASCENO by Beautiful Bottoms’ for a transitional period.
