Baci Lingerie has announced plans to launch 50 high street stores across the UK within the next five years.
The brand is to open its first store in October 2011 at St David’s Shopping Centre in Cardiff.
It will take a store at 10 Cathedral Walk trading from 700 sq ft, adjacent to The Perfume Shop and opposite new health and beauty retailer, E-Cosway, which opened last month.
Baci announced in February that it was to open in the UK and had partnered with Dorset based distribution partner, ABS Holdings, to launch and distribute the Baci Lingerie brand in the country.
Since then, Baci has successfully been sold in over 100 independent and highstreet retailers, including Next, Littlewoods, Allders, Bentalls, as well as e-tailers including Very.co.uk, Base.com and Lingerieplease.com.
Internationally, Miami-based Baci Lingerie has appointed 17 global distribution partners in the past 18 months.
The brand is planning 3,000 stores worldwide in the next six years, starting this month with a grand opening in Budapest. Stores due to roll out in the next three months are in Scandinavia, UAE, UK, Spain, Holland, Germany, Mexico and Lithuania.
ABS Holdings managing director Symon Reeves said: “We are delighted to be opening the first Baci Mono Brand store at St Davids; the centre is performing very well, a key consideration for us in the present economic climate. We believe our outstanding price point coupled with a stunning location will provide us with the ideal platform to launch our exiting brand to the consumers of Cardiff.”
The stores will feature contemporary white interiors and fittings, with luxury, boudoir touches such as boutique-style glass chandeliers and soft-grey flocked wallpaper.
