Five Australian Star in a Bra finalists are calling on the public to take part in a final public vote, to complete the trilogy in the annual Star in a Bra search.
The winner will be flown to the UK to take part in the Autumn Winter 2013 shoot, in November, as well as winning an international modelling contract.
Part of the ACP group, Channel 9 Mornings and Take 5 magazine have covered the competition, this week, by televising the final shoot and pushing the public to vote on the next Curvy Kate.
Curvy Kate PR and marketing manager Hannah Houston said: “It’s been an exciting year for the brand and as we’ve grown the numbers of girls entering the Star in a Bra competition has tripled. Our fans are so passionate about this competition and votes are already pouring in for the Australian Top 5. We’re looking forward to finding the final piece to the Star in a Bra puzzle for 2012 and can’t wait to meet her at the shoot in November.”
On why she entered, Top 5 finalist Cherine Exadactylos said: “For a very long time I wasn’t very confident or comfortable in my own skin. I entered Star in a Bra this year because I decided that this year things needed to change. Seeing images of what the media and society portrayed as beautiful can distort your vision and it doesn’t contribute in a positive way to young women’s perceptions of themselves. There is no such thing as a perfect body, we all have our lumps and bumps and there is nothing wrong with that.”
The Top 5 girls were all professionally photographed, courtesy of Take 5 magazine. The Top 5 shoot images are now live on Facebook and the public will have one vote to choose their favourite girl to be crowned Australian Star in a Bra. The overall winner will be announced on October 3 2012.
Curvy Kate offers lingerie and swimwear in D – K cups and is now available in over 100 stores across Australia.
