Aussie brand launches swimmable underwear for men

Underwear of Sweden has launched its first collection of swimmable underwear for men.

The multi-purpose garment has been designed to combine the form, comfort of underwear with a ‘swimmable’ function.

The new Australian innovation comes in two styles, Max for Men Sport Jocks and Max for Men Board Jocks.

The underwear, which fits smoothly under wetsuits or board shorts, is made with a quick drying, salt and chlorine resistant fabric.

Underwear of Sweden designer and founder Helene Pilhage, who set her company shortly after moving to Australia with her husband, said the inspiration for the range of men’s swimmable underwear came about when she realised what salt water was doing to men’s undies.

She said: “Unlike in Sweden, Australian men wear underwear under their board shorts, and it gets ruined by the salt water. With our swimmable underwear, men can get a lot more wear out of their jocks.”

Underwear of Sweden has launched its first collection of Swimmable Underwear, for women, earlier this year.

The range includes a selection of padded swimmable bras, with interchangeable halter and shoulder straps, and matching briefs.
