Premium intimates brand Aubade has unveiled a new lingerie collection designed in collaboration with French fashion designer Christian Lacroix.
Inspired by Marie Antoinette and the French city of Versailles, the capsule collection is made up of bras, a waist cincher, high-waist and midi briefs and a slip.
The range is split into two parts, with the first one, named Princess Impériale, set to be delivered to stores in July. This line features almond green, pastel tones and fuchsia.
Part two, named Gardenia, comes in pink and black and will hit stores in October.
“This collection is my Aubade,” said Lacroix. “I thought that our two worlds could meet; a fine relationship between the nostalgia that I feel when I’m creating something and the one conjured up by this lingerie brand name, which symbolizes a certain French, Parisian, refined tradition.”
The new collection is adorned with Leaver’s lace and finished with pompoms, both signature components of Lacroix’s baroque style.
Fishnet lace and corset-style ribbons also feature.
