Ann Summers considers new retail partnerships

Ann Summers is looking to expand its presence in the market through partnerships with other retailers.

The company launched its first pop show at Selfridges, this month, and is using the venture to test the water for potential future projects.

At the retailer’s Westfield Stratford City launch party, managing director Vanessa Gold told Lingerie Insight: “We are working on a project at the moment and we are looking to see how we can grow outside of our own retail umbrella.”

Ann Summers chief executive Jacqueline Gold added: “It would have to be the right brand fit and we obviously have got a criteria. Since we did Undercover Boss and since the piece in Retail Week, there has been a lot of interest from third parties over other potential partnerships. It is just making sure we pick the right ones.”

The launch party was attended by the likes of Lizzie Cundy, TOWIE twins Dio and Georgio, The Apprentice 2008 finalist Claire Young and former Hollyoaks actress and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ali Bastian.
