Anita launches mastectomy sports bra

Lingerie and swimwear group Anita has added a mastectomy line to its popular sports bra range for SS18.

The company has adapted its best-selling 5527 Extreme Control sports bra to house a pocket for a prosthesis.

“Women are encouraged to exercise after surgery and this will allow them to train with the confidence, knowing that they are getting maximum support for their natural breast and that their prosthesis is well secured and will not be exposed,” said Anita UK managing director Jemma Barnes told Lingerie Insight.

“The new 5727X is launched in the fashionable ‘heather grey’ colourway.”

Anita has also expanded its sports bra range to include the new Momentum Pro design.

This collection features micro-perforated fabric that is lightweight and breathable and ribbed butterfly bands to avoid painful rubbing during workouts.

It has taken the X-shaped back from the award-winning dynamiX star bra for optimal hold and breathable foam cups from the air control DeltaPad bra.
