Amoena launches luxe mastectomy lingerie

Mastectomy lingerie brand Amoena has launched new Parisian-inspired collection Frenbch Touch, in response to a survey which revealed that glamorous lingerie is still important to over 80% of breast operated women.

More than half of those surveyed by Amoena said that wearing glamorous lingerie made them feel more attractive.

Amoena marketing manager Rhoda White said: “Following breast surgery, women still want to look good, and it’s important for them to be able to find clothes that restore their body confidence. We commissioned this study to find out just how important it was to them.”

French Touch, which seeks to combine ‘delicate decorative touches’ with ‘provocative styling,’ offers two ranges, Juliette and Violette.

It includes four mastectomy bras with matching camisole and a choice of briefs, thongs and lace or tummy-control shorts.

White added: “We’re really excited about this lovely capsule collection because we believe it will appeal to all those women who love to wear luxe lingerie and won’t let breast surgery stand in their way. We think they’ll be delighted by these styles.”

The new collection will be available from October 2011 online, by mail order and from the company’s showroom in Hampshire.
