Agent Provocateur has designed bespoke costumes for the forthcoming Monty Python Live shows at London’s O2 arena.
Ten dancers will be seen wearing the label’s bespoke garments during the show’s ‘blackmail’ sketch featuring Michael Palin, reports the London Evening Standard.
In the sketch, Palin plays a smarmy host of a spoof gameshow and the scantily-clad dancers are his assistants.
Designed by the brand’s creative director Sarah Shotton, the ten made-to-measure bodies feature seductive strapping details, invisible tulle and intricate embroidery.
Agent Provocateur CEO Garry Hogarth told the Standard: “Having been a lifelong Monty Python fan, I was thrilled when asked if we would design the outfits for the dancers in the show. It is going to be amazing and we feel honoured to be part of it.”
The five surviving Pythons will open their show tonight and their final performance, to be delivered in three weeks’ time, will be broadcast live to more than 2,000 cinemas and on TV screens in more than 100 countries.
