Agent Provocateur is set to launch two concessions in Australia, this February 2012, chief executive Garry Hogarth today confirmed to Lingerie Insight on his return from launching the company’s latest store in Milan.
The new retail areas will be based within David Jones’s Sydney and Melbourne stores.
According to the Agent Provocateur boss, the contract has already been signed and the shop-fit designed.
Australia is reportedly the fourth-largest online market in the world for Agent Provocateur’s, whose website receives more than 20,000 visits a day.
The London-based retailer has expanded rapidly since it was acquired from Vivienne Westwood’s son Joseph Corre six years ago by private equity company 3i. It now has 47 stores in 20 countries and plans to open another nine over the next year.
