Agent Provocateur design team stands strong amid administration woes

Agent Provocateur has launched a new collection for SS17, inspired by female icons.

The new range, modelled by British model Eliza Cummings in a campaign designed to empower and encourage self-love, features lingerie, nightwear and swimwear in shades of playful pink and bold black.

Icons is split into five collections – Love Yourself, featuring delicate whispers of lace and romantic silk ribbon; Empower Yourself, Icons’ most risqué range featuring sheer mesh and provocative black straps; Show Your Softer Side, which marries pink and black in silky satin and lace to create feminine styles; Show Confidence, a playful collection featuring delicate bows and sheer tulle; and Be Powerful, a range of dynamic cut-out swimwear.

The Agent Provocateur design team is still in place and led by creative director Sarah Shotton following the brand’s sale to Four Holdings.

It was reported in April that AP is set to leave its unsecured creditors with an unpaid bill of £20.7 million after going into administration.

The retailer declined to comment on this report when contacted by Lingerie Insight.
