As the kick off event of Berlin Fashion Week, the next 5 Elements Berlin – to be held at Historische Messehallen from July 3-5, 2011 – will introduce a new, modified concept.
The changes are taking place in response to visitor feedback, obtained through an new communication service that asked over 500 retailers for their opinion on the trade show.
July 3 (Sunday) will remain a trade show day in the interests of owner-operated retail, while a connection to the Berlin Fashion Week will provide the chance for larger retailers and fashion houses to also visit the other trade-shows in Berlin on July 5.
5 Elements Berlin will offer a shuttle service in cooperation with the other events. The free of charge facility will also enable visitors to travel to cooperation hotels.
The brands will not only showcase their collections at their stands during the trade-show, but also at fashion week @ 5 elements.berlin, which will take place during the fair.
Similar to designer shows in outerwear, 5 Elements Berlin seeks to be the ‘first bodywear tradeshow’ to present the key brands with ‘exclusive catwalk shows – collections of the trade-show exhibitors and those who are seen nowhere else’.
The seats in each show will be limited. There will be a separate and free registration for visitors and the press.
This year, exhibitors will also have the opportunity to construct their own stands, though restrictions will apply to height and positioning to ‘sustain the open and transparent general atmosphere (arena-principle)’.
The show schedule of fashion week @ 5 elements.berlin will be released shortly on the Five Elements website.
